Domain Cross-Sell Promotion

Allow admins and resellers to promote domain registration directly inside the MetroPanel end-user panel, creating an additional revenue opportunity without requiring MetroPanel to become a domain registrar.

Admins and resellers can configure a Domain Registration CTA that appears in the client area and directs users to an external purchasing flow, such as:

• Affiliate domain registration link
• Hosting provider’s domain store
• WHMCS domain registration/cart URL
• Custom domain registration page

How It Works

The hosting provider configures the domain promotion and CTA URL from the MetroPanel admin area. End users can then see the promotion inside their panel and click Register a Domain, Find Your Domain, or another configurable CTA.

The purchase itself is handled by the linked external store or registrar. Once the domain is purchased, MetroPanel continues to host and manage the associated website/application.

Scope

MetroPanel does not become a domain registrar,There is no requirement to implement:

• Domain registration APIs
• Domain transfer management
• Domain renewal/billing
• WHOIS management
• Registrar integrations
• Domain pricing or TLD management

Instead, MetroPanel acts as the hosting-side cross-sell and discovery layer, while the actual domain purchase remains with the configured affiliate, store, registrar, or WHMCS installation.

This keeps the initial implementation lightweight while allowing hosting providers and resellers to generate additional domain-registration revenue from their existing MetroPanel users.
